The 2006 effort involved the support of the Kiwanis clubs of the Cal-Nev-Ha District and the expansion to add a second major collection point in South Sacramento, with the premises donated by Inter Cal Real Estate, as was the Citrus Heights collection site. The support by the cities of Citrus Heights and Sacramento was invaluable. Corporate and business contributions of “satellite” collection points, and in-kind and cash donations and cash contributions exceeded many times over the 2005 levels, growing the 2006 results to five times that of 2005. Thanks to the charitable support of Sacramento’s McClellan Park, we added large off-site warehousing and an air cargo capability.
